‘Delta Revues’

Back in 2015 I marveled at a dapper, mustachioed, tattooed fella expertly finger picking and strumming on a Resophonic guitar and belting out tunes with a haunting voice from the past the likes of LeadBelly, Blind Willy Mctell, and Skip James. His playing and singing amazed me, and it still does. Some people in your life make a hell of a first impression. It will be hard to top meeting Bryan Beardsley.

Not long after meeting we started playing music together. We created a blues duet known as ‘Delta Revues,’ and we play at many venues throughout New Orleans. We are also part of ‘Bayou Blues Burlesque,’ established at the Allways Lounge. At the time, we thought the Burlesque Project we were asked to join was only going to last for a season or two. It’s been over a decade now, and I’m still thrilled to be a part of every show. Our producer, Mrs. Ooops C. has booked hundreds of guest performers to entertain with our group. Through thick and thin, we’ve found peace and solace in our music. It’s an incredible feeling to make music with dear friends.
