The Brothers Dethrow

This first blog is actually Dan — Matt’s brother. Don’t worry, Matt’s voice will be the one depicted most often in the near future. But for now, I’m playing around with this whole website blog thing and setting it up for my brother so that we all have another way of seeing what that free spirit, Matt Dethrow (a.k.a. ‘Dapper Bassist’) is getting up to down there in that magical city of New Orleans. Give us a chance to live vicariously through a bohemian musician and his sweet dog, Buddy.

We’re also working together on his new You Tube channel, ‘Dapper Bassist,’ that features upright bass lessons and his own experiences as a full-time musician. And we’ll be curating some of that on this website as well. Hopefully these can be fun educational tools for aspiring musicians.

Whether you’re family and friends we already know, or ones we haven’t met yet, we hope you enjoy the content and that it inspires your own fun creative project and to keep on playin’.
